The Gates Chili Central School District and its facilities are an amazing community asset. It is the District's desire to make district buildings and facilities available to the Gates Chili District community when not in use for school activities. If you are a Gates Chili District resident, you are eligible to use: the fitness center, indoor track, pool or outdoor track for personal use. Prior to using the fitness center, we ask that you complete the Gates Chili Fitness Center Registration Form. Presentation of your VALID  New York State Driver or Non-Driver Photo ID is required.

WE ARE OPEN!  School district residents are able to use our pool, indoor walking track and fitness center.

ALL users must be school district residents over the age of 18 with a valid NYS issued ID reflecting their current address. 

 For those wishing to use our fitness center, you are required to do a one-time orientation facility.

About our Facilities   

The Spartan Field House is a nearly 100,000 square foot facility that contains a gymnasium, fitness center, indoor track, and swimming pool. As you enter the Field House lobby, you'll notice terrazzo flooring designs, an ornamental display wall made from the old gym floor, a trophy case display area, and a concession stand.

The 7,700 square foot Fitness Center has athletic flooring and advanced teaching stations.

The Gymnasium is 27,800 square feet and includes:

• six stations and four practice basketball courts 
• one main NBA/NCAA regulation court
• six volleyball courts
• #1-grade maple floor system
• powered basketball backstops, scoreboards, volleyball net, and main court dividing curtain

The Swimming Pool is an eight-lane competition-sized pool with:

• an adjustable bulkhead
• roll-out bleachers for more than 600 attendees   
• two one-meter diving boards
• a state-of-the-art timing system by Colorado Timing
• an oversized shallow end for community use

The Indoor Track

• is overlooking  our Gymnasium.
• four-lane 1/8 mile elevated indoor track
• 8 laps = 1 mile  
  The indoor track is available evenings and weekends except during athletic contests or rentals 
• Hours may change at the last minute due to events in Gym. 

The Outdoor Track

• is found next to our Administration Building. 
• eight -lane 1/4 mile  track
• 4 laps = 1 mile  
  The outdoor track is available evenings and weekends except during athletic contests or rentals.  PLEASE NOTE: For the safety and security of our students and  staff use of school property by non-school individuals is prohibited during student-occupied hours.

• Please park in the lot between transportation and the track and not in the administration lot.

Please use door # 5 at the High School and check-in at the field house window.

Please note- the exterior doors to our building will be locked 30 minutes before the scheduled closing time.    

 Family Swim

Please note with regard to children using our pool during family swim:  

Children must be accompanied by their own parent(s) at all times in the pool area when attending family swim.   

Children under 18 may use the pool on the WEEKENDS ONLY during the school year and as scheduled during the summer.   

Families are required to be Gates Chili School District residents and to show an NYS driver's license or NYS non-Driver ID as proof of address when checking in.
