    March, 2021

    Dear Brasser Families,

It is hard to believe that is it already March! As this unprecedented school year begins to wind down, we wanted to share a few updates and reminders.

    Remote and Hybrid Expectations

All students should be engaging in schoolwork 5 days per week. Although students are not synchronous or live with their teacher each day, they do have work to complete! For hybrid students, this means there is schoolwork to be done during their at-home days. For remote students, there is work at home every day, in addition to the days that are “live” with the teacher.

    Attendance Policy

As Superintendent Dailey shared last month, the New York State Education Department now requires the district to document and report daily attendance for all students when they are learning in school or at home. Student attendance will be determined based on the daily health screener that comes via email each school day. It is important to remember to complete the health screener each day for your child.

     Spring Learning Model

Please remember to complete the survey that was sent from Superintendent Dailey regarding your preferences to return to school full-time in-person if the Department of Health loosens restrictions related to maintain health and safety in schools. This survey response is due by March 5, 2021. Be sure to complete it so we can plan accordingly.

    Spring is Near!

As the weather gradually gets warmer, be sure to send your child to school with appropriate outdoor wear (sweatshirts, jackets, etc.) Our students love to get outside to play during recess and PE class.

Thank you for partnering with us on the 2020-2021 school year adventure!
