  • The 2020-21 School Budget Vote and Board Election
    will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2020
    by absentee ballot only
    (see ballot instructions below)

    **UPDATED**

    Per the governor's directive, ballots will still be accepted in person at our drop box through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9. Ballots submitted by mail must arrive to the district by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16.

    Proposition 1 on the ballot will allow the district to continue current programs and staffing into next school year. 

     

     

  • Ballots

    Each district household will be provided with two (2) ballots. Ballot must be marked with a pen. Your official ballot must be properly completed in order to be counted. If your household requires additional ballots for additional voters, please call the district clerk at 247-5050 ext. 12101 or complete this form.

  • Ballot Instructions

    Each district household will be provided with one instruction sheet for completing the ballots. It is important to follow the instructions carefully as incomplete ballots will be considered invalid.

    Ballots may be returned by mail or in person at the dropbox located at 3 Spartan Way, Rochester, NY 14624. All ballots must be received by the district clerk no later than 5 p.m. on June 9, 2020.

  • What's on the ballot?

    Proposition 1: The school budget proposition authorizes the Gates Chili Central School District to spend for school purpose during the 2020-21 fiscal year $113,424,313 and to levy the necessary tax therefore. 

    Proposition 2: This proposition would authorize the purchase of 15 buses at a total cost of no more than $1,945,100.39. This would include nine 66-passenger buses, four 74-passenger school buses, two 35-passenger buses. New York State reimburses Gates Chili approximately 74% of bus purchases.

    Board of Education Candidates: Residents will vote to fill three (3) Board of Education seats for three-year terms. Candidates are Raymond Banks, Catherine Coffee, Robert Long, Jeffrey Pettenski and Miriam Rivera.
