WHAT ARE YOUR SUMMER PLANS?
-
Colleges and other organizations offer a variety of summer programs just for teenagers. Now is the time to think about whether you're interested in participating in a summer program.
Your first step in selecting a summer program is to find out what's available to you. Visit the high school guidance office or public library to find information on summer programs for students. If you don't have a particular type of program in mind, check out a general guidebook to summer programs, such as:
-
Peterson's Summer Opportunities for Kids & Teenagers
-
The 500 Best Ways for Teens to Spend the Summer
Directories geared toward particular types of programs, such as traveling abroad, internships, or visual and performing arts programs are also available.
More information on these programs is available in the Career Center. The Career Center has up-to-date information on part-time and full-time job openings for Gates Chili students. Ask Mr. Lanning for more information or feel free to look in the "jobs binder" available in the room.
