i-Ready

  • i-Ready Diagnostic

    • The diagnostic is about a 60-80-minute online assessment, but it varies by the student.
    • The diagnostic is taken on the computer.
    • May take two sittings to complete an assessment. It may be started, stopped, and restarted as needed within a 21-day period we call a “testing window.”
    • Individualizes assessment items based on the answer to a previous question. This is what makes the assessment an “adaptive” one. For example, a series of correct answers will result in slightly harder questions, while a series of answers that are incorrect will yield slightly easier questions.
    • Assumes that students will not know the answer to every question.
    • Provides instructional data based on what your child “can do” and “the next steps for instruction.”

    • Students will complete 45 minutes of i-Ready online instruction in AIS each week.
