May take two sittings to complete an assessment. It may be started, stopped, and restarted as needed within a 21-day period we call a “testing window.”
Individualizes assessment items based on the answer to a previous question. This is what makes the assessment an “adaptive” one. For example, a series of correct answers will result in slightly harder questions, while a series of answers that are incorrect will yield slightly easier questions.
Assumes that students will not know the answer to every question.

i-Ready Instruction
(only for students receiving direct AIS services and 6th Grade students for Reading only)
Following the assessment, i-Readyplaces your child into online instruction to support his/her progress in mastering essential skills in reading and math.
Students will complete 45 minutes of i-Ready online instruction in AIS each week.
Online lessons are rigorous, offering students explicit instruction when they need it and providing systematic practice and scaffolded feedback that promotes a growth mindset.
