Dance/Social Event Expectations

The socials start at 7:00 pm and end at 8:30 pm.

Students must arrive promptly at the start of the social and are expected to be picked up immediately following the social.

An adult will be at the door letting students in for the first 30 minutes. At 7:30 p.m., the doors will lock and students will be unable to enter after that time.

Parents and guardians need to drop off and pick up their student in the front of the building by Door #1. No one will be permitted to enter the building unless they are a GCMS student attending the dance or a prior approved chaperon.

There will be dancing with a DJ in the cafeteria and an open gym for students to shoot hoops.

GCMS students who have not been on the ineligibility list since the last social event are invited to attend the social.

Students will follow the Code of Conduct and be role models of the Spartan Way. This includes following the Dress Code also.

Students may want to bring a small amount of money to purchase pop or snacks if they wish. Please try not to bring 20 dollar bills. It is best to bring small bills (such as ones and fives).

Students are expected to stay within the boundaries of the dance and will not have access to their lockers or other parts of the school.

Students may begin being picked up at 8:15 p.m. at the front entrance of the school.

It is expected that students will be picked up in a timely manner at the end of the dance. A late pick-up will jeopardize future attendance at events.

For the safety of our students, students may not walk home from evening socials, even if they have a walking pass.
