Gates Chili HS Equity Challenge 2021
Overview
-
Our school community’s diversity is a point of pride for Spartans near and far. Our students represent many races and ethnicities, more than 30 different countries and speak more than 20 home languages. Despite our many successes, we must continue to work to ensure that our community is equitable and inclusive for all. Many members of our school community participated in the United Way’s 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge this past fall.
Beginning Monday, March 15, we invite you to join us in taking the Gates Chili High School Equity Challenge.
The purpose of this challenge is to engage students and staff in discussions on equity. During this is a 10-day challenge, you will receive an email each morning with a brief video on the day’s topic, a brief reading or data, and an opportunity to respond to the topic and reflect on your learning. There’s no sign-up required. Each day's resources will also be posted at the links to the right.
Students: for every day you respond to a topic, your name will be entered for a chance to win a prize. Prizes include gift cards and other fun giveaways.
We look forward to this 10-day journey with all of you!
