Gates Chili launches new communication platform to encourage stronger school-home connection
Gates Chili Central School District is moving to ParentSquare—a simple and unified school-to-home communication platform. This all-in-one tool will be used to reach and engage every caregiver, helping ensure that all families have the opportunity to actively participate in their student’s education. ParentSquare is now available for staff and parents to use on their computers or mobile devices.
By unifying multiple tools into one communications app and service, ParentSquare provides a seamless experience for parents and staff. Parents will be able to keep track of news, activities and events from all their children’s schools in one place.
You can read more about the switch to ParentSquare in Gates Chili’s Special Edition District E-newsletter here: https://secure.smore.com/n/zdp2b.
Gates Chili hopes that ParentSquare’s intuitive, two-way platform will foster greater communication and family involvement. With ParentSquare, parents can enjoy photos posted by teachers, fill out forms and permission slips, sign up for parent-teacher conferences, check grades and attendance, and much more. School staff and parents can engage in both one-to-one and group messaging with real-time language translation.
“This change is the direct result of family input, which has been essential in shaping our efforts to improve communication,” said Superintendent Christopher Dailey. “It removes barriers to engagement between school and home and helps empower everyone within the school community to stay connected and informed.”
“By moving all school-to-home communication under one umbrella, we are streamlining the experience for both families and staff and ensuring that families have access to information in a way that meets their needs,” continued Iva Petrosino, the district’s director of communications.
Gates Chili’s partnership with ParentSquare will enable stronger engagement between school and home, and help empower everyone within the school community to stay connected and informed. For more information on ParentSquare, please visit https://www.gateschili.org/parentsquare.
