Meet Miss Piatek

  • I am one of three occupational therapists at Gates-Chili. This year I am working with students at Florence Brasser Elementary School and Paul Road Elementary School. I graduated from Churchville-Chili; so I will always be a Saint at heart, but I have embraced the Spartan Way. In 2008, I graduated from Keuka College with my Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. My first job was with Clinical Associates of the Finger Lakes (CAFL) for three years; I travelled to homes, daycares, and preschools to work with children, birth to five years old and worked closely with their families/caregivers. I started working at Gates-Chili in September 2011 and have worked in three of the elementary schools so far. I am still working part-time for CAFL, seeing preschoolers after school. I also work per diem for Freedom Therapy; working with an older population at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. I stay busy!

On a personal note, I live with my twin sister in Chili with our dog Baxter. She looks an awful lot like me, so if you see me out and I don't say "Hi", it might be her! I also have an older brother who is married with three kids; Jonah, Caleb and Whitney. When I'm not working, I am spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy snowboarding in the winter, playing softball in the summer and volleyball year round. My favorite sports teams are: Buffalo Sabres, New York Mets, Buffalo Bills, and Duke (basketball).
