The Paul Road Service Learning Club is comprised of fourth and fifth grade students who wish to participate voluntarily in activities to help others. The goal of service learning is to incorporate an educational component to selected community service projects. Possible activities include the annual food and clothing drives, Red Kettle Campaign for the Salvation Army, activities for senior citizens, support for soldiers overseas, etc… Meetings are held before school on Fridaymornings and begin promptly at 8:00 AM.
Members of Service Learning Club are expected to model the ideals of the Spartan Way: Respect, Responsibility, Hard Work and Compassion. As a member of the Paul Road Service Club, students must:
- Demonstrate responsibility by attending all meetings on time.
- Demonstrate respect for all adults and fellow members by following the rules for safe behavior.
- Demonstrate compassion for others through the use of kind words and actions.
- Demonstrate hard work by completing all classroom work and service learning activities.
Students must have a ride to school in order to participate and MAY NOT arrive earlier than 7:50 AM for the purposes of supervision.
