  • Work together with your child to create a positivity jar (or box, or notebook, etc.) Have your child write a positive affirmation, or something they like about themselves each day and put it in the jar. You can join in too and add the things that you like about your child. This will help build your child’s confidence and feelings of self-efficacy.

     

  • Play games like red light green light, Simon says, musical chairs, freeze tag, etc. Games like this help kids to practice a variety of skills including patience, impulse control, and if they are not the winner, they can practice coping strategies to handle the disappointment of not winning.
