About Miss Porter

  • Greetings friends! I am looking forward to the start of our school year together!

I have had the pleasure of teaching for five years; I have worked as a first grade, third grade, and reading intervention teacher at Paul Road School for two years. Prior to coming to Gates-Chili, I had the wonderful opportunity to teach first grade at an international school in Taiwan for three years. Coincidentally, the mascot of my old school was a panther.  Imagine my surprise when I learned the Paul Road mascot was a panther as well. It was meant to be!

I grew up and currently live in Chili. After graduating from Churchville-Chili, I went on to Roberts Wesleyan College to earn a Bachelor of Science in Childhood and Special Education. I then earned my Master’s Degree in Literacy from Canisius College.
