• YOGA

    Last year we introduced yoga as a new movement program just for our youngest learners.  Research has shown that yoga has many benefits.  Some of these benefits include:

    -  Improved motor control

    -  Improved strength & endurance

    -  Increased self awareness & motor planning skills

    -  Reduced stress reactions & improved resilience

    -  Increased ability to relax and release tension, fear, & frustration

    -  Improved immune function

    -  Improved sleep quality & quantity

    -  Increased control of the head, neck & upper trunk


    Each Kindergarten class now has yoga once per week.  We have also added classes for some of our older students so that all may benefit.  We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this program to our students.
