Snack Time in Mrs. Austin's Room:
The students in my room may enjoy a healthy snack every day provided from home. Following district guidelines, we have a list of possible healthy snacks that the students may like to pack. I ask that all foods be prepared to eat~ ex. fresh fruits or vegetables already cleaned and cut, and that the snack only take about 5 minutes to finish. Thank you for helping your 5th grader make healthy food choices.
Some Healthy Snack Options Include:
** fresh fruit or veggies, ready to eat
** crackers, Gold Fish, Triscuits, etc.granola bars
** cheese sticks** cereal bars
** raisins, Trail Mix
** dry cereal~ not sugary ones
** granola bars
I encourage students to bring in a plastic water bottle to drink throughout the day. It is important to stay hydrated and bringing in a water bottle limits trips to the fountain during instructional time. Please make sure it is leak proof, has a tight fitting lid, and contains WATER ONLY (no drink mixes, juice, or carbonated drinks). Thank you for your support with this!
